Michael K. McAuley - The Actor In real life, Mike is better at balancing his comedy career than his bank book. Mike K. McAuley is originally from Bright's Grove (home of golfer Mike Weir) on the shores of Lake Huron. A cartoonist and Claymation freak at heart Mike attended the classical animation program at Sheridan College but switched over to be an Outreach Worker for the deaf instead, combing the streets and shelters searching for homeless deaf people in need of support. Frustrated by inner comedy dreams Mike quit a full pay check and warm meal to enter Humber College's post grad Comedy program full time where he ended up graduating with honors and winning the student choice "Guttman" award for his performance in a comedy video. During his final months in the program Mike wrote and shot a comedy show demo for Nelvana who forwarded it to L.A. for consideration. However it failed to gain legs. Mike then hit the streets as a stand-up comic playing the "in" clubs and "punch-in-your-face" bars until one day he wandered into the "Out There" world of Melissa DiMarco.
